The organizers of the Games Done Quick charity speedrunner festivals have summed up the results of the week-long summer marathon Summer Games Done Quick 2022 (SGDQ 2022), which ended yesterday, July 3.
As it became known, from June 26 to July 3, within the framework of SGDQ 2022, Doctors Without Borders raised $3,016 million to support humanitarian organization Doctors Without Borders. Almost 24 thousand people made donations.

Recall that SGDQ 2022 is the first Games Done Quick marathon in a live format in two and a half years. Despite the return, it was not possible to break the record for collections – it remained with AGDQ 2022 Online ($3.4 million).
During SGDQ 2022, streamers raced across 120 games, including Elden Ring (in two different categories), Final Fantasy X, Metroid Dread, Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, Tunic, Star Wars Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast, and more.

The next Games Done Quick festival, the women’s Frost Fatales, will run from August 21-27. In total, more than $40 million has been donated to charity during the various GDQs.

The organizers of charity speedrunner festivals Game Done Quick summed up the results of the Awesome Games Done Quick (AGDQ) 2022 Online marathon that ended in January.
As it became known, during the period of AGDQ 2022 Online (from January 9 to 16), viewers made more than 49 thousand donations to the non-profit Prevent Cancer Foundation for a record amount of more than $3.4 million.
The previous record for grossing $3.1 million was held by the Awesome Games Done Quick 2020 and held for two years. AGDQ 2022 Online also managed to raise the first $1 million faster than any other Games Done Quick event.
During AGDQ 2022 Online, streamers managed to complete 149 games at a speed and even update several records (in particular, for Kena: Bridge of Spirits ).
The marathon also includes a blind run on the action game Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice.
